Olympic Torch Relay Celebration

Directions and Guidelines for schools for the 2010 Olympic Torch Relay Celebration at James M. Hill High School Track, Friday November 27th.

1. There are two schematics of the James M Hill Track & Field Facility. One gives a detailed overview of the grounds and where key landmarks are situated. The second is the field map indicating where school designations are located. There will be signs posted for each school. Please respect the space being allotted for your school making room for younger, smaller students toward the front (stage), with older students further back. This should serve as your home base. It is important to stay with your school at the conclusion of the celebration as bus drivers will come to collect their students based on where they are located on the field map.

2. Dress warmly and be prepared for WET weather. Although there will be lots of entertainment and hype, you could be standing for 2 - 2 1/2 hours.

3. Remember - there will be no food/beverage concessions. Please eat before or after you arrive.

4. There will be Olympic paraphernalia for sale (HBC) - cash or VISA only. There may be res mittens available.

6. Unfortunately, we are unable to video stream the celebration, but we hope to video the celebration and post it to the District 16 media server.
